Wandering Thoughts from a Moto Make Up Artista

Taking it all in.

So I've been in Burbank, CA all this week and will be for the next three. I'm learning all kinds of great make up skills at MUD, (make up designory). I feel like this is it, I fit in. Finally. It's like how I feel around us folks who ride. We're part of the same family. Same with make up artists.

I ride and I create. I love it!

See ya down the high road folks. It's a busy time now.

Peace and Love,

Mimi

The Dead Sea Lives

In the Bible, the Dead Sea is known as the “Eastern Sea” or the “Sea of the Arava”. The ancient Greeks and Romans called it the “Clay Sea”, due to the patches of clay, or asphalt floating on its surface. Later on, since life in this body of water was deemed impossible, it was dubbed the “Dead Sea”.

The water’s tranquility, makes floating natural and effortless and instills a sense of peace. The natural healing waters along the coast are rich in minerals and natural heat. They are the ideal foundation for health.

I can't help but wonder what a great escape this must be.

Escapism. An alternative reality. A diversion that removes one from everyday rigors. This is why I ride. It's my diversion. It's also my reality.

I believe we all need to escape, some of us more than others. Or maybe it's this need to be our true selves, belonging to oneself, to live our own reality and be who we really are. For some, that's the real escape.

Peace.

My Own Personal Road-mance

It's Friday, and the weekend weather is looking beautiful for a little road-mance. I'm certainly in love with a new adventure on the road. First I'll shine up Cleopatra, fill up the tank and take off where ever the road takes me. I may even go down to the beach and see what's kicking. There's also a weekly barbecue for riders at San Diego Harley. That's usually a good pit stop.

However, now, I'm sitting here at work, staring out the window. Rooftops, cars, birds and people, all in my view. Downtown San Diego is like a mini city. Kind of urban, but still has a way to go. My view reaches past the buildings to the water. Occasionally, a sailboat drifts by. I love the idea that everyone is on the move. Everything in motion. I know when I wake up tomorrow, the road is all mine to embrace.

Peace friends~
