I'm on Hiatus for a While

It is with great sadness that I write this post. My husband, Max, had a massive stroke two days ago. I'm praying that GOD will give us the strength we need at this crucial time. I know we will get through this with HIS help.

Please pray for Max.

Love to all,

Mimi

Cush for my Tush!

I've had my bike for over a year and am still riding the stock seat. I know, it's crazy. The Nightster comes with one of the most uncomfortable seats I've experienced, next to a pillion. I'm checking all the aftermarket sites for a cushy solo, but have yet to find a good one. I heard Corbins are very good but haven't seen one for a Sportster.

Any suggestions for a 2007 Nightster?

Thanks in advance!

Saturday is Best.

Wow! What a great weekend I had. I finally had a Saturday off. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm and the riding was perfecto as well. Monetta, my riding buddy and I, headed out early Saturday morning through some beautiful roads up towards the mountains. We passed one area where all I could smell was the leaves. It brought me back to when I was a little kid and my dad would rake up the leaves that fell from the one tree we had. My sister and I would jump in the pile before he could get them all together. I could never tell if he was laughing inside or cursing us out. Sometimes he had this real poker face. Anyway, that scent just brought me right back.

I love it when you could just hear your bike against the trees along the road. Birds flying in and around and it really is just you and the road.

As we got further along we decided to stop at this adorable diner like place called Le Peep. They had pictures and animation of all kinds of chickens. I figured their specialty was eggs, hence the name Le Peep. They must have had every combination of omelettes and eggs going. Monetta had an egg white special, with peppers, spinich, brocolli and what ever else they threw in. I had a gooey swiss cheese omelette that was heaven on earth. We also split this cinnamon bun thing with creme cheese icing and syrup. Yum! Now that's what I call a breakfast.

After we devoured everything, we headed out. We rode back through some mist and a peering sun. It was so hot when we rode up, so the mist really felt cool on my face.

I really do have to get a camera because all I was thinking of was how everyone should see these breathtaking views.

For the next couple of hours we just rode. I followed Monetta since she knows the back roads alot better than me. When we stopped for gas, we decided to go down to San Diego Harley for their weekly band and barbecue. There's always a good crowd there and people to meet or catch up with. I love that camaraderie that we all share.

Well, I hope you all had a great weekend and have a fun week! Get out and enjoy!

Peace, my riding friends~

John McCain at Sturgis

This was posted on TMZ (the celebrity site!) They have their own way of reporting, don't they.

McCain -- Between a Rock and a Jiggly Place

Posted Aug 4th 2008 9:30AM by TMZ Staff

John McCain isn't exactly shying away from boobs -- actual ones, not Paris and Brit -- at a campaign stop today.

J-Mac will be stumping at the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota today. After the Senator pays tribute to Vets at the event, that well-known upholder of moral virtue Kid Rock will rock the main stage. Tans and tatas will be competing in the Hawaiian Tropic contest nearby.

And as the Huffington Post reports, the other entertainment on offer includes "Ringin' Wet & Wild" women's wrestling event and a Fake Orgasm Contest.

Just the kind of thing the religious right would love.
